Haosen Gives Boost to ZF KAMA in Drawing up Ambitious Plans in the Eastern Europe Market

Recently, Haosen delivered a Transmission Intelligent Assembly Line to ZF KAMA in Russia for the assembly of ZF TraXon heavy truck transmissions.

The global demand for heavy duty commercial vehicles is continuously unabated; therefor major manufacturers have never stopped their global layout of heavy commercial vehicles. As early as in 2018, ZF Group confirmed that a new AMT transmission - TraXon transmission would be launched in Russian domestic market. Based on the many times successful cooperation with ZF, such as Shanghai ZF 8HP Project, ZF-Foton TraXon Project and so on, as a leader in intelligent manufacturing solutions in the industry, Haosen, who has closely centered around the needs of the customer, has overcome all kinds of difficulties and strived to find solutions and has successfully delivered a transmission assembly line that is compatible for 6 product variants for ZF KAMA -  a joint venture between ZF Group and Kamaz Group, Russia's largest heavy truck manufacturer. It is not only achieving flexible production for a variety of transmissions, also meeting customer requirements for ultra-high precision equipment, and effectively reducing costs for the customer.

The needs of the customer

ZF KAMA needs to have a highly flexible transmission line that is compatible for a variety of products. Meanwhile, the customer has strict control over the number of operators on the whole line because of the extremely high labor costs in Russia. In project acceptance phase, customer also required that each single machine should pass PCA Equipment Stability Test and MAS Measuring Equipment Stability Test, which was unprecedented acceptance requirement comparing to domestic projects in China. In addition to this, customers also set up rather high standards for the accuracy of products.

Solutions

With the concept of lean production line design, Haosen realized mixed production of 6 variants of ZF TraXon heavy truck transmissions. EMS automatic trolley conveying system was adopted in final assembly line and test line, which were able to transport in horizontal and vertical stereoscopic spaces. It was efficient and fast, not only meeting multi-variant production, but also reducing logistics transportations and transfers as much as possible.

In view of labor cost, Haosen strictly controlled on the quantity of stations in whole line design process, which meant that the process content of each station had to be greatly increased without reducing production capacity. As an outstanding service provider in the intelligent equipment industry, Haosen worked hard and gave enough preparation for the process layout and cycle time planning for the whole line, and finally the quantity of stations was limited to barely above 20.

Haosen has made a breakthrough by applying brand-new dynamic measurement technology and quantitative greasing technology, which makes all equipment satisfy or even surpass customer requirements in terms of accuracy and stability.

This intelligent assembly line of TraXon transmission delivered by Haosen has greatly increased the production capability of ZF KAMA plant. After 9-speed Ecomid transmission and Ecosplit transmission, a brand new 12-speed transmission will hit the market in Russia, which is another important layout of ZF Group in the Eastern European market.  The successful delivery of this project also means that Haosen is gradually entering the global supply system of ZF Group, which is another embodiment the globally trust-worthy strength of Haosen!
